All content and apps published to Hyperclay have their source available - that's just how websites work, people can "view source" to see the full HTML/CSS/JavaScript code.
You can include any license you want in your HTML file. We recommend CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) so people can freely share and build on your work, or MIT if you want attribution.
If you're developing a paid app, you can use a custom commercial license like this example.
We reserve the right to publish all content and apps created with our service to an open directory that anyone can browse, view the contents of, rate, and comment on.
2. How Apps Work on Hyperclay
Open Signup Apps: When an app has open signups enabled, anyone can create an account and get their own instance.
Cloning: Anyone can clone any public app on Hyperclay to create their own independent copy.
Ownership of Copies: When you sign up for an app or clone it, you receive a complete, independent copy that belongs entirely to you.
No Control by Original Creator: The original app creator has no control over, access to, or visibility into your copy. It's yours forever.
Not Traditional SaaS: Unlike traditional software-as-a-service, where the provider controls your instance, Hyperclay apps are true forks - independent copies you own and control.
